The silent asylum.
She curls into corners
Shivering in her lonely cage.
"Hush now."
The little musics of her mind
Are screaming.
Her only comfort swings
Like the cold blue of moonlight,
Deep yet uncaring and bald.
She shudders.
"Can't you please please stay?"
But with one blink he's gone again
Burning scintillations on her cheek.

This calls to mind late night conversations, shadows, reaching out. This place is very real.

I can't stop reading this. It really hits home for me, all those words that have been shared that won't leave me.
